Beginner Program (12 months – 18 months)

Our Discovery Point beginner class is designed for infants who have just begun walking; usually between 12 to 18 months. This lively group is ready for new challenges.  They are naturally curious and are starting to build a sense of independence.  The beginner child care classroom environment is designed to encourage movement and mobility while creating a safe place to explore. Special emphasis is placed on developing language skills and learning through play.

From our Beginners Child Care Program, parents can expect:

  • Strong teacher support and guidance – Daily Beginner Reports
  • Low child-teacher ratios
  • Language and literature focus
  • Custom-designed room for beginners
  • Secure environment for discovery, learning, and growth
  • Focus on cognitive, sensory, physical, and emotional development
  • Exploration of independence for each child
  • Close supervision
  • Custom-designed room for beginners
  • Separate playground areas for infant and toddler classrooms

Special emphasis is placed on developing language skills in a classroom alive with music, movement, and learning through play.

With their better mobility, Discovery Point has created a safe place for them to discover their surroundings. Our beginner child care program offers the opportunity for strong teacher guidance for older babies who are crawling and walking, followed by close supervision.  Our experienced staff provides engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that allow children to explore their world through art, music, movement and play.

We provide daily reports to keep parents up to date on their childs diaper changes, Feeding, routine and development.
